Hello,
I'm providing some "value-added" information to consider; it's not the bells and whistles that may be categorized as a highly visible feature, but one that is "part-of-the-engine" so to speak.
- I would love to see a way for website members to be able to know that the "safe" website they connect to is actually likeme.org and not an imposter. (i.e., current website certificate to verify authenticity)
- It would be great if the information in your "secure" database was secure from the user's browser to the registration and/or authentication database. (i.e., SSL - or similar supported encryption - for connections during registration and login.)
This looks like a very nice website with so much potential as a great resource or reference. In my opinion, people have a difficult enough time weeding through content; a website should at least give people the opportunity of knowing that there browser connection is to the correct server (especially if they might rely on it in some way). Also, claims of "secure" may give people a false sense of security, if their data traffic (i.e., authentication credentials are readily visible to 3rd parties on the internet.)
Thanks so much for asking! I hope this is helpful!!
