A year ago I lost my long time job because I was a lesbian.  I've lost various jobs because I have chosen to live my life openly and honestly.  I did take on another job, however, it was with a new company who promised to get Health Insurance within a year.  Now a year and two months later they still do not have health insurance.  My cobra is running out in two months.......... I have checked with every insurance organization in Missouri.  No one wants to insure me.  My partner of over 20+ years has great benefits and her insurance company does allow for domestic partner benefits.  She however refuses to ask her boss to add me because, "she has seen what has happened to me over the years and doesn't want to risk losing her job because I need Health Insurance."  And I do need the health insurance because without it, I can not afford my medications, as I am a diabetic. I am so mad at her I could scream, I need some advice on what to do.  I understand her position, I don't like it, but I get it.   I can not believe this is still happening to me at this age.
